A basic seafood recipe can simply mean adding seafood to your salad greens. This is when you want to start experimenting. You can fry small shrimp on your stove top with olive oil and garlic, along with something like onion salt and then add them to your salad. There are more dramatic type of seafood salad recipe that you can try. You don’t have to stick with just one type of seafood. You can use lump crab meat along with your shrimp and scallops if you wish. You can add salmon or even tuna to a salad to add a zip to your day to day salad intake. If you want to use crab, you can use crab from a can with pretty decent success, but if you can afford it, the best way to get good crab is to buy the king crab legs, steam, and remove the meat in chunks. You can’t beat the taste of this crab meat.
You can go for the all out seafood salad recipe if you wish. This salad has mostly seafood items included, but may also have small chunks of onion or pepper, and may be put together with either mayonnaise or plain yogurt. Some like to add tang and crunch to the sweet and soft addition of the seafood. For example, Northeastern United States usually makes this delicious Chowder soup using available ingredients such as clams and potatoes. Whereas Southeastern United States generally uses she-crab meat and crawfish for making a bowl of steaming chowder. It is traditionally made with a cream base of tomato and broth.
